What do you predict that the iPhone will cost?

Has the iPhone price been released in Australia? If not, what do you predict it will cost? Will you be able to go to America and buy one there if it’s cheaper or will you have to get it in a plan?

You have to buy iPhones with a plan. That’s where they get you. You have to start a two year plan with 400 minutes. For the current iPhone overall costs 1559 dollars U.S. Now the new 3g version is better and may seem less expensive at 199 dollars. Wrong. The new plan is twenty dollars more a month and cost 1579 overall. It is a better phone though.

    like AU$900 – 1000 …

if u wanna get it through plan, it’ll be a LIMITED STOCk than just to get a MOBILE itself..

Wow! It is amazing at how so many people do not read the question!

From what I see, Apple has not released the price for Australia. I checked on Apple’s Australian website and it does not state the price, but it does have the same release date (July 11th).

You can maybe get an idea of how much it may be though. I did notice that the iPod Shuffle starts at $49.00 in the United States, but starts at A$65.00 in Australia. The iPod Touch starts at $299.00 in the United States, but starts at A$399.00 in Australia.

If it will be offered the same price all over the world ($199 for the 8G and $299 for the 16GB), then it would probably be A$210 for the 8G and A$315 for the 16GB.

I do not think that you will be able to purchase the iPhone in another country since you do have to activate it in the store.
